Rocky Lake Superior Shores: Phase I
I really do love all aspects of the North Shore of Lake Superior. The variation of rock is pretty sweet up there. One of the coolest rock displays that I recently saw up there was a cool imbedding of white quartzite into the predominantly red Keweenawan (Late Proterozoic) lava flow deposit.
Here's a different variation of the rock up on the North Shore.
