Kynosis @ Station 4 on 07/05/05

Once again my good friends Mike and Paul have a show with their incredible band Kynosis. They are playing at Station 4 in St. Paul on Tuesday, July 5th. The cover is only $2 (or free here), which is cheap considering the awesome performance they'll be giving. Check out their site and come on down to Station 4 for an awesome show. See ya there!

Check out my thoughts and pictures from their April show.

Annual Blue Mounds Gathering (June 3rd-5th) Photos

I posted some of the pics from the Annual MinnesotaClimbing.com Blue Mounds Climbing Gathering to the gallery. I didn't get very many pictures. Though most of the days were full of rain, we did get in some good climbing. I'm not gonna write up a trip report since most of my time was consumed with either sleeping, game playing, climbing, shelter creation, or eating. Never-the-less, the weekend was awesome and hopefully the weather will be better next year.

Here's a couple of the pics from that weekend.

The Early Bird Gets the Photo

On each of the two mornings that we were at Temperance park, Sunday and Monday, I woke up extremely early. At least it was early for me since 6:00am is quite early for me, especially when camping. On Sunday I woke up at 5:45am and on Monday I woke up probably about an hour before that because it was still very dark outside. Anyways, my will to wake up paid off. I ended up with a few pictures that I really like. And not to mention how peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing it was being on the shore during sunrise.

Here are a couple pics from Sunday morning. They are both from a small pool of water (5'x8') that had developed on the rock from the overnight rain. I like how, from the particular vantage point that the second picture was taken, it appears that the picture is of a larger body of water.

Memorial Day Weekend on the North Shore

For Memorial Day Weekend I was invited to go camping at Temperance River State Park. I was initially a little held back because of the forcasted rain in that area. Finally, I was convinced to go. All I can say is "THANK YOU!" "THANK YOU!" "THANK YOU!" to you guys for dragging me along (you know who you are). It ended up being a BEAUTIFUL weekend, from the drive up on Saturday to the late Monday afternoon climbing on Shovel Point. Of course, hundreds of pictures were taken; on the scale of 700+. I will be out of town this weekend, too, so it'll take me a little bit to go through the northshore pics and pick out the 50 or so I like that I will post. Anyways, here's a handful of pics from the night we arrived. I hope you enjoy them. Peace.
